Future-oriented sustainability assessment
In order to create absolute transparency for their products, Zeitraum has developed a forwardlooking sustainability rating, the FURNITURE FOOTPRINT for their furniture. The Furniture Footprint bridges the gap between subjective design perceptions and recognised sustainability-relevant criteria, thus forming an interface between aesthetics and considered consumption. Quickly, fairly and at eye level, they share their knowledge and disclose information about our products to promote thoughtful consumption.

Evaluation system and methodology
Zeitraum calculates the outcome of any specific product rating using the weight (in percent) of the individual components in a piece of furniture as well as independent life cycle assessment data and existing certifications.
Carefully designed and manufactured, the result is exceptionally durable furniture.
Zeitraum only uses solid, healthy hardwoods, which are processed with precise knowledge of their specific properties. They obtain about 80 % of these from Europe, predominantly from German forests in the regional vicinity of their production facilities. The American wood species, which make up about 20 % of their requirements, come from the large forest areas of North America, Pennsylvania and Missouri. All woods comply with the FSC and PEFC standards. We currently use ash, oak, American cherry and European and American walnut.
Ecological awareness determines holistic, sustainable action
For over 30 years, ZEITRAUM has stood for ecology and sustainability, which can be felt in the products. ZEITRAUM offers products that are manufactured in an environmentally friendly manner from the very beginning and treated with due respect. Therefore, they continuously check, question and revise the quality of their production in order to remain true to our claim. By constantly questioning all process and production levels, being in constant exchange with their production partners and planning innovatively, they are able to think and act ecologically.
