Leading architects and furniture designers across the world have shaped our collection with beautifully crafted, functional designs that are both timeless and timely. Harnessing the beauty of each material used, pieces feature carefully considered details, expert craftsmanship and high-end materials. As long and rich as our history of crafting iconic design, collaborators include notables such as Arne Jacobsen, Poul Kjærholm, Jaime Hayon, Piero Lissoni, Kasper Salto and Cecilie Manz.

Carbon footprint of commercial projects

At Fritz Hansen, we care about the environment and know you do too. In the interest of understanding environmental impact, we can now deliver a Carbon Footprint product impact calculation for commercial client projects.

Our commitments

As a global design company, we have a responsibility to reduce our climate impact and ensure fair working conditions. We have set ambitious goals for ourselves and strive to be transparent about our progress.

UN global impact

In 2022, Fritz Hansen became a member of the UN Global Compact – a principle-based framework for responsible business. As a member of the UN Global Compact, we pledge to do our part in working for a more responsible future and focus our efforts in accordance with Global Compact’s 10 principles on Human rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption. Each year we will measure and report our progress within these 10 principles. Read more about UN Global Compact below.

Climate commitment

Our planet is challenged by growing consumption and rapid climate changes. As a globally operating company, we are aware of our responsibility and we want to do our part to stay within the planetary boundaries. Scientific research shows that we must limit the global temperature rise to 1,5°C. Therefore we are committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions in scope 1 and 2 by 38% by 2025, as well as measuring and reducing our emissions in scope 3.
This short-term climate goal for 2025 has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

About the Science Based Targets initiative

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reduction targets in line with the latest climate science. It is focused on accelerating companies across the world to halve emissions before 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions before 2050. Read the Fritz Hansen Greenhouse Gas Report 2022 below.
